‎With Arsenal closing in on the Premier League title, focus remains on finishing the campaign strongly before transfer activity gathers pace.
‎Arteta Targets Attacking Reinforcement
‎Mikel Arteta appears to have identified Kofane as a key addition to solve Arsenal’s long-term striker concerns. The teenager has impressed throughout the season, registering seven goals and eight assists in 39 matches across all competitions.
‎Interest from Arsenal has been widely reported, and now agent Eric Depolo has confirmed direct communication between both parties.
‎Speaking to Daily Arsenal, Depolo said: “Yes, Arsenal’s interest is genuine. The manager likes him very much. There is contact between me and Arsenal. But their focus right now is to win the league - from there everything will start moving.”
‎Valuation Rises to €100 Million
‎Although earlier reports from Sky Germany placed Kofane’s value between €60 million and €70 million, his agent insists the current market reflects a much higher price.
‎Depolo stated clearly that any club hoping to secure the forward will need to meet a €100 million valuation. He also expressed strong confidence in the player’s long-term impact.
‎“He is a €100 million player. With Kofane, Arsenal will have a top striker for the next 10 years,” he said.
‎The agent further described Kofane as the standout young striker in Europe, highlighting his all-round qualities including pace, technical ability, defensive contribution, and aerial strength.
‎Interest From Across Europe Intensifies
‎Arsenal face significant competition in their pursuit of the Bayer Leverkusen star. Multiple clubs have shown interest, including Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton, and Brentford from the Premier League.
‎European giants Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also monitoring the situation closely.
‎Depolo acknowledged the level of attention, revealing that interest in Kofane has surged dramatically.
‎“I have never had as many calls in my life as now regarding Kofane,” he admitted.
‎Arsenal Hold Key Advantage in Race
‎Despite the growing list of suitors, Arsenal appear to have an edge. According to the player’s representative, certain factors within the club environment could influence the decision.
‎Depolo pointed to shared language and personal connections within the squad as reasons Arsenal may be ahead.
‎“I think it is too early to say, but due to the fact that the player speaks Spanish, like Mikel Arteta, and that William Saliba is originally from Cameroon, I would say Arsenal are in pole position,” he explained.
‎With interest confirmed and groundwork already underway, the next step will depend on Arsenal’s willingness to meet Bayer Leverkusen’s valuation for one of Europe’s most promising young forwards.
