Erling Haaland becomes a dad for the first time after partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen gives birth - as Pep Guardiola accidently reveals the big news!

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola accidently revealed news that star striker Erling Haaland has become a father for the first time.

Haaland scored again on Sunday as Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League, defeating Leicester 2-0. The Norway international scored his 14th Premier League goal of the season, and his first since scoring in a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the start of December, as Pep Guardiola's team broke a five-game victory drought.

Haaland has faced criticism for his current goal drought, but Guardiola defended him after the victory. The City manager also disclosed that it has been an emotional few days for Haaland, who has recently become a father when his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen welcomed their first child. Haaland announced in October that he and his girlfriend were expecting.

He told reporters, "Erling has sometimes been regarded harshly, but that is part of football. He's fatigued after playing a lot of minutes. He became a parent for the first time in the previous few days, which has been a very emotional and wonderful moment for him.

Haaland may have to get used to some sleepless nights as he adjusts to life with a new kid, but the striker will still face high expectations. City will be hopeful that Sunday's win marks the end of their current poor run as they enter 2025 and their first Premier League encounter of the year against West Ham.
