'Impossible to fix' — Ruben Amorim addresses Manchester United lineup leaks after team for Manchester City clash revealed 17 hours early

Ruben Amorim has addressed Manchester United's line-up leaks, which were known well before of the Manchester derby.

Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League after two consecutive defeats against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, defeating local rivals Manchester City 2-1. Josko Gvardiol gave the hosts the lead in the first half, but Amorim's side rallied late on with goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo.

This season, United's starting lineups have been leaked ahead of games, as was the case against Manchester City. Almost 17 hours before the match at Etihad Stadium, Amorim's likely lineup was disclosed, as reported by Samuel Luckhurst, and it turned out to be absolutely right. Amorim has now spoken up about the suspected leaks within the organization.

Speaking to reporters, the Portuguese said, "I know that story. I don't know, but I think it's hard to correct nowadays since there are so many people in the club, and the players communicate with agents. I don't know; you can chat to pals, so it's difficult to say. It's not ideal, but let's go on to the next one and see if they can identify the next starting XI."

Manchester United are clearly no closer to finding a solution to the underhanded sharing of information, despite the fact that specific players have been accused of being the source on social media. The Red Devils return to play in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals against Tottenham on Thursday, and it will be intriguing to watch if this happens again.
