'He left because you're sh*t!' — Embarrassment for Ruben Amorim as Everton fans chant in support of Marcus Rashford Man United ditched in January

Everton supporters taunted Manchester United by screaming Marcus Rashford's name during the 2-2 draw at Goodison Park on Saturday lunchtime.

The Toffees took a two-goal lead at Goodison Park, with Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure on the scoresheet. Both players imitated Rashford's celebration before the home crowd taunted United by yelling, "Rashford left, because you're sh*t".

Ruben Amorim permitted Rashford to leave United on loan for Aston Villa in January, claiming he had not trained sufficiently enough to be considered for selection. The attacker has had a promising start to his Villa career, and Beto and Doucoure celebrated by pointing at their heads in Rashford's signature gesture.

United's humiliation amid a disastrous start to the game at Goodison Park was not limited to inside the stadium. 'Relegation' was trending on X, with some supporters assuming they will be forced into a struggle to avoid relegation, despite fighting back to earn a point in a 2-2 draw.

United face Ipswich at Old Trafford on Wednesday. If they were unable to escape loss in that game, warning bells may be ringing at the bottom of the standings.
