Diogo Dalot sealed the win with a stoppage-time strike, further cementing United’s progression to the quarter-finals, where they will face Lyon. This victory provides a glimmer of hope in what has otherwise been a challenging season for the club.

‎Ahead of Thursday’s game, Ruben Amorim’s side had struggled, winning just once in their previous six matches. Now, Fernandes has called on his teammates to channel this momentum into positive results for the remainder of the season.
