‎According to German outlet Bild, RB Leipzig are under pressure to raise funds and have identified Sesko and Simons as high-value assets who could help the club reach their target of €100 million (£85m/$114m) in player sales. Both Premier League giants are said to be keen on securing deals for the two rising stars, with United showing particular interest in 22-year-old Dutch midfielder Simons, while both clubs are monitoring the availability of 21-year-old Slovenian striker Sesko.
‎Leipzig had previously struck a gentleman’s agreement with Simons, who joined permanently from Paris Saint-Germain in January, allowing him to leave in the summer window. Despite flashes of brilliance, Leipzig reportedly feel they have not received sufficient value from Simons in return for his €12 million (£10m/$14m) salary and are now open to letting him go for around €70 million (£60m/$80m).
‎Sesko, meanwhile, has a similar valuation and is believed to have a clause permitting a summer exit under those terms. His strong performances in the Bundesliga have made him one of Europe's most sought-after young strikers, and his profile aligns with both United’s and Arsenal’s long-term attacking needs.
‎With the Bundesliga season nearing its conclusion, Leipzig remain focused on securing a top-four finish. They currently sit fourth with four games remaining and face a crucial clash against third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt this weekend — a match that could solidify their Champions League qualification hopes.
‎Should Leipzig achieve their European ambitions, they may be more willing to reshape their squad, potentially clearing the path for Sesko and Simons to make high-profile moves to the Premier League this summer.
