‎The bids were tabled towards the end of July, sparking internal discussions at Barcelona. Several board members were open to a potential sale, believing the funds could ease financial pressure and support new player registrations. However, manager Hansi Flick strongly opposed the move and pushed to keep the midfielder at Camp Nou.
‎Negotiations between Barcelona, Manchester United, and Chelsea reportedly lasted for more than a week. During that time, both Premier League clubs worked to secure the 21-year-old, but Flick is said to have intervened directly to block the transfer.
‎Fermin Lopez has already established himself as a key figure at Barcelona, making 89 appearances across competitions. His contributions include 19 goals and 11 assists, while he has also earned two caps for the Spanish national team.
‎Barcelona face Levante this weekend, and Fermin will be aiming to feature as Flick continues to rely on him in midfield.
