‎Bayern made the sharper start and earned a penalty after Willian Pacho brought down Luis Diaz. Harry Kane calmly converted to give the visitors the lead. However, PSG quickly responded as Kvaratskhelia dazzled past Aleksandar Pavlovic before finishing to equalize.
‎Momentum shifted further when Joao Neves headed in from a Dembele corner, putting PSG ahead. Bayern answered again through a powerful strike by Michael Olise, leveling the contest before halftime. Yet PSG regained the lead when Dembele converted a penalty awarded for a disputed handball involving Alphonso Davies.
‎After the break, PSG’s attacking trio proved lethal on the counter. Kvaratskhelia and Dembele both added to their tallies, seemingly putting the tie out of reach. But defensive fragility allowed Bayern back in, as Dayot Upamecano and Diaz scored to keep the tie alive heading into the return leg at the Allianz Arena.
